Vacation Namaste from Kathmandu, Nepal Sunday 30 October 2005
Namaste! We already saw the central Durbar Square (which is full of Buddhist and Hindu temples) during the evening, we'll spend more time here when we get back in two weeks.

One great thing about this trip: for once I don't have to spend hours looking for food without meat, in fact most food here is vegetarian. In Delhi the touts even promote their restaurants by assuring passers-by that they're 100% vegetarian - ah bless such civilisation! It's great food as well, and I had the best plane meal ever on the flight to Kathmandu with Indian Airlines.

Tomorrow morning we wake up at 5:45 and fly to the Everest region to begin our trek. We're a bit nervous :)

Ah lucky you to have been able to prove such a blessed civilisation! While I was offered microwaved salads as the best vegetarian meal by an expensive restaurant on the famous Rue De Boucher, you could enjoy the most delicious veggy meals with probably much less money in a restaurant in Delhi. I told you that Indian kitchen is the best choice
for veggies, didn't I? ;-)

I can hardly wait for your report on the Sagarmatha's tour! Please think of me and say my name while you're there; that way I'd be able to say I've been there too :-)

Wow! So you're finally out traveling again. :) Don't forget to take some good nature pics, human monuments aren't everything. ;)
